Icon is set to welcome a new State Manager for Victoria, as Daniel Crawley joins the team. Crawley succeeds Michael Clemenger, who departed Icon for Built Environs last year.
Daniel comes from Lendlease, where he has worked in various areas of the business for the past 15 years.
In his time at Lendlease, Crawley has had a number of management roles, including Project Manager, Construction Manager, Project Director and most recently Head of Conversion and Strategy for Victoria.
Prior to its purchase by Lendlease, Daniel worked as a Construction Engineer at Baulderstone, working on health infrastructure projects including Box Hill Hospital and the Alfred.
The $447.5 million Box Hill Hospital redevelopment was completed in 2014, and saw additional services added on top of those originally planned thanks to the project running ahead of schedule and on budget.
Daniel’s strong experience in the health sector continued into his time at Lendlease, where he delivered the $250 million Monash Children’s Hospital, which opened in 2017, and is one of the largest comprehensive children’s hospitals in Australia.
Construction of the Monash Children’s Hospital saw the engagement of over 60 subcontractors with 400 construction workers total.
Stepping into his new role at Icon, Daniel will lead the Victorian team in projects across a number of sectors including healthcare, commercial and education.
Daniel’s extensive healthcare experience will serve Icon’s strategic direction to take on more projects in the sector going forward.
Icon is currently tendering for Assemble Communities’ new developments in Kensington and Brunswick.
