Kapitol Group Lands Government Contract For Southern Autistic School
Kapitol Group has won the tender to complete the Victorian School Building Authority-led Southern Autistic School redevelopment.
This project will mark the first State Government tender that Kapitol has won and demonstrates the group’s focus to work on more government-initiated projects.
The group used Linkedin to announce the win and described the news as ‘monumental’ for Kapitol Group.
Kapitol announced, “We’re ecstatic to play our part supporting the school infrastructure boom to make Victoria the “Education State”.

Kapitol Group will work with Hede Architects and RBS Building Surveyors to complete redevelopment on the Bentleigh East school which is 1,168 sq m in total.
The $5-10m redevelopment will include the construction of a new two-storey specialist learning and administration building and associated works to the car park and bus drop-off area.
Continuing works of the school are expected over the next 12-24 months.
According to the Victorian School Building Authority, in the 2019-20 State Budget, Victorian schools were allocated a combined $17.2m to go towards planning. The Southern Autistic school received $6.66m.

Monash University’s School of Nursing and Midwifery, various works at RMIT such as the Behavioural Laboratory and Mentone Grammar’s Aquatic Centre Refurbishment.
