United Asia Group’s new $150m high-rise apartment complex in West Melbourne named Flagstaff Hill will be built by Maxcon.
Flagstaff Hill rises 25 storeys at 45-55 Dudley Street, where the former Flagstaff Inn once resided.
The Commonwealth Bank of Australia has announced it will support the project by funding $70m as a way to show its ongoing support for driving new construction works.
Maxcon has begun demolition of the site and construction of the tower is on track to begin in 2021.
The tower will fit 109 apartments, each equipped with access to a gymnasium, a private lounge, an outdoor terrace, a lobby, and reception area, and basement car parking.
UAG’s current projects include Wallace Avenue, 881 Office in Armadale and Kensington Grove.
Maxcon is currently working on a range of distinguished projects in and around Melbourne. They include;
– Wallace Place, at 11-13 Wilson St, South Yarra — a commercial space over six storeys and valued at $25m.
– 33 King Street, consisting of 241 hotel rooms over 31 levels and valued at $51m.
– Palladium, located at 245 City Road, Southbank which will include 286 apartments, a six-level office and a Woolworths supermarket over 52 levels and valued at $110m. Palladium is aimed for completion in July 2021.
