Mt Waverley Secondary College STEAM Centre
Following a robust post-tender value management and redesign period, The VSBA recently awarded FIMMA Constructions this exciting S.T.E.A.M Centre project at Mount Waverley Secondary College.
The scope of works requires infrastructure upgrades, excavation and benching works, the construction of a new two-storey S.T.E.A.M Centre, and extensive civil and landscaping works.
The new building will include science labs, technology and visual communication studios, multipurpose classrooms, staff offices, DDA compliant lift and circulation spaces, informal breakout areas, and a bespoke ground floor courtyard.
FIMMA are delivering this project in close collaboration with Superintendent, Johnstaff Projects, and BKK Architects.

Bonbeach Life Saving Club
The original Bonbeach Life Saving Club had served the community since 1936. Replacing the 85-year-old building on a contaminated, access restricted, foreshore environment was a challenge FIMMA were up for and successfully completed.
The new facility, designed in accordance with Life Saving Victoria’s (LSV) ‘Facility of the Future’ Guidelines, features extensive storage areas and amenities for club members over two levels, including large viewing areas and balconies for crew. Sustainability features include rainwater tanks, solar panels, extensive glazing, a heat-pump water heating system, and water-efficient fittings. A selection of floorboards from the original building were also saved and recycled as feature cladding in the entry foyer.

Our Lady of La Vang Catholic Church
FIMMA was awarded the contract to build this new church for Our Lady of La Vang parish by The Archdiocese of Melbourne. Designed by MAP Architecture, the Archdiocese required the building to accommodate over 2,000 people, with the congregation capable of expanding further by opening full height retractable doors on the side elevations, making it one of the largest Catholic Churches in Victoria.
The contemporary design of the building includes an impressive 15-meter-high ridgeline, 60-degree pitched roof and significant precast concrete panels at both ends of the structure. Internally, features include steep raked acoustic ceiling panelling, large skylights, and full-height stained-glass windows depicting the history and migration of the Vietnamese people and the boats that brought them on their journey to Australia.

Ivan Korosa
Founding Director in 1986, Ivan is a highly qualified Engineer with over 40 years' experience in the construction industry. Commencing his career after graduating as a Mechanical Engineer from Swinburne University, with W.P.L. Industries Pty. Ltd. (later to become), I.CA.L. (Internal Combustion Australia Ltd) and then Transfield Pty. Ltd. Ivan gained valuable experience working within corporate environments on complex and challenging projects. During his extensive career he has been responsible for delivering numerous successful projects.

Adrian Seymour
Adrian has over 40 years' experience managing numerous projects in the Health, Aged Care, Commercial, Industrial, Education and Food and Beverage sectors ranging in value up to $86m. A natural mentor and effective leader, Adrian has been instrumental in the development and growth of the FIMMA team, with his consultative management style and sound technical knowledge resulting in a proven track record of project delivery.
Construction Manager
Adrian Artico
Adrian brings over 30 years of industry experience, including previous senior roles as a Construction Manager. His experience spans many sectors, across a wide range of projects of various scales and complexity, from small fit-out works, up to large-scale design and construct, 5 Star Green Star developments valued over $50 Million.
His methodical work ethic enables simultaneous management and support of multiple sites, establishing strong connections with all stakeholders, and delivery of projects safely with minimal risk exposure. His knowledge allows him to identify potential issues early, and diligently work with his teams to ensure minimal impact or delays and a clear path to success.
