Recent Projects

Kapitol was initially appointed NEXTDC’s partner of choice to help deliver stage 2 of the hyperscale building their M2 facility in Melbourne. That partnership has now been extended as we move forward together to deliver stages 3, 4 and 5 data halls and commercial facilities at NEXTDC’s M2 site, and stage 1 data centra and commercial facilities at their new M3 site.
Tullamarine & Footscray
Under Construction
Designed by SJB, the project retains heritage facades on Elizabeth and O’Connell Street, integrating them into the construction of a new 13 level mixed-use development. The building will consist of apartments, ground-floor retail space and two floors of commercial office use. It will be our first tower crane erected in the Melbourne CBD. The building is a stunning addition to the northern edge of the CBD.
Under Construction
Hurstmon Apartments
This Telha Clarke-designed project of 39 luxury apartments features unique rammed earth columns that line the front and west façade of the building, making Hurstmon one of the only residential developments in Victoria to feature this sustainable natural building finish. The Malvern East development is due for completion at the end of 2022.
Malvern East
Under Construction
628 Bourke
628 Bourke will be undertaken in a live office environment. Works include extensive demolition work to revitalise the external façade both on Bourke and Lt Bourke Street and includes removing pre-cast panelling and replacing shopfront. The atrium upgraded, retail tenancy, and a restaurant.
Melbourne CBD
Sarah Sands
We are transforming the historic Brunswick landmark, Sarah Sands Hotel to deliver 31 bespoke residences complemented by unique work spaces and dining destinations. The build includes six storeys and a two-level basement in addition to restoring the hotel façade to its original glory.
Industry Awards & Recognition
“Our #1 Best Place to Work ranking in 2022 is a huge achievement for everyone at Kapitol Group. We conduct this annual Wrk+ staff survey to get real feedback and ideas to improve our culture. This year’s ranking is a testament to everyone that worked hard to address last year’s feedback, and to all the passionate and innovative people at Kapitol who raise great ideas on how we can improve the culture and industry as a whole. We still have work to do, #1 doesn’t mean we rest on our laurels now, but it’s a great platform to launch from to achieve even greater things.” –
Alice Hanna, People & Culture Manager
Key traits of a high performing team include trust, open communication and feedback, flexibility, respect and shared values and behaviours. These skills aren’t gifted to teams. They must work hard to achieve them. At Kapitol we are constantly looking at ways of building our culture to create a supportive, authentic, inspirational and driven team of talented individuals working towards the common goal.
We're committed to treating every employee with respect and dignity. We believe each member of the team has the right to be treated fairly and equitably and equally access resources and opportunities. This includes people with disability, women, asylum seekers, new migrants, socially or economically disadvantaged groups and disadvantaged youth. We welcome the opportunity to employ Indigenous staff and are committed to providing genuine opportunities for sustainable employment.
At Kapitol Group our passion for building is matched with our drive to establish long-term sustainable practices to reduce our environmental footprint by reducing our CO2 omissions and supporting natural habitats. We're achieving this through many paths but most recently by signing a climate & Biodiversity Emergency pledge and The Ethical Paper Pledge.
