Melbourne-based construction professional, Seamus Egan has been announced as Watpac’s New Business Manager of Victoria and South Australia.
Egan has over twenty years of experience in the construction industry and will be reporting to General Manager of Victoria and South Australia, Simon Ballard who also recently started into the role.
Egan spent six years as Director at Probuild, working on key Melbourne and international projects until last year. During his time in this role, he was responsible for a team of Estimators, Submissions and Business Development professionals.
Over the last six months, he has worked as Director of his own business, Project Conversion Solutions — providing developers and contractors with solutions to convert projects from inception to delivery.
His portfolio includes working with construction companies, Contexx, Multiplex, and Hansen Yuncken on high quality and complex projects of over $900m.
He is also known for his front end management skills, effective communication and ability to deliver well-executed projects, start to finish.
Seamus comes to Watpac while they currently chase projects such as the Frankston Hospital redevelopment, various prison-development projects, and future defense work.
Watpac is one of Australia’s leading construction businesses. In Victoria they have worked on projects such as the Casey Hospital Expansion Project, Victorian Schools Project PPP and La Trobe University’s Institute for Molecular Science.

Egan will join Jean-Pol Bouharmont (Chief Executive Officer), Mark Baker (Chief Financial Officer), Mary Jane Bellotti (Chief Development Officer) and a team of state-based General Officers.
