Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Description
Surveyors are generally employed for the duration of the project, sourcing materials, determining and controlling project costs and providing final calculations.
A Senior Quantity Surveyor must have excellent communication skills, as the role requires liaising with engineers, suppliers, contractors and the Project Manager.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor is often the first port of call when questions of finance, disbursements and materials arise.
Considerable experience in construction and engineering, as well as a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as finance, engineering, architecture or construction, are necessities. Employers also look favourably upon Surveyors who possess a project management certification.
