Project Coordinator/Engineer

Responsibilities

Project Coordination and Scheduling

  • Overarching: Coordinate the activities that support a successful completion and great customer experience.
  • Supports the letting and administration of contracts for construction projects.
  • Liaises and co-ordinates sub-contractors to create consistency in the delivery methodology, underpinned by procedures and requirements.
  • Support the procurement of Sub-contractors and suppliers against the Scope of Works.
  • Review and assess sub-contractors’ performance against the Scope of Works and Construction Program.
  • Provide feedback and information regarding sub-contractor performance to the Project team based on agreed protocols.
  • Monitor progress and oversee delivery of materials.
  • Identify and create resolution plan for issues that could delay completion of works within the required timeframe.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, designers and contractors.
  • Any other tasks as reasonably directed by Alchemy Construct Directors and/or Senior Managers

Financial Management and Reporting

  • Issue Purchase Orders and Sub-contract agreements.
  • Administer RFIs to Clients, Architects and Consultants.
  • Monitor Progress Claims and Variations. Specific for Subcontractors:
  • Make recommendations as required for the authorisation of variations, extensions of time andm payments.
  • Manage costs - monitor and maintain cost control, forecast revisions and project financial reporting.
  • Assist with Cash flow forecasting.
  • Coordination of Bank Guarantees, where required.
  • Make sub-contractor payment claims..
  • Assist with progress claims.

Work Health and Safety

  • Attend site safety walks.
  • Ensure subcontractor safety documentation is provided to site prior to their commencement.
  • Assist and support with all site WH&S matters, conducting regular safety checks and ensuring that work is completely safely and in accordance with the relevant OH&S legislation, building regulations and other legal requirements.
  • Adhere to the HSEQ policies and standards.
  • Identify, report and flag any issues or risks to the Project Manager, HSEQ Manager, Line Manager or relevant Director.

Project Completion and Defects Liability Period - Quality

  • Assist the Project Team and the Customer Experience Manager with the close out of projects, including the handover process.
  • Coordinate close out meetings.
  • Attend to post-contract requirements and project wrap-up.
