The NAWIC Awards recognise the achievements and industry advancements of women, men and organisations in the construction industry.

NAWIC is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 1995 with the vision of empowering women in construction and related industries, and a goal to have a minimum of 25% female participation in the industry by 2025.

Alchemy is working hard to improve the average – which currently sits below 10% – with its workforce represented by over 25% women. It’s also one of the few Australian construction companies with a female co-director.

One of the company’s brand values is inclusivity, and Alchemy was founded upon the desire to create an inclusive and equal work environment, where employees feel welcomed and encouraged to thrive.

Director Jamie Nicolson said “there is nothing more necessary for construction than strong female representation. It makes our industry so much better. These amazing women are changing the game and killing it.”
