Maben Group has won the contract for the Eastland office tower fit-out at 110 Maroondah Highway in Ringwood.
Neighbouring Ringwood Train Station and Eastland Shopping Centre, the 14,000sq m building, dubbed EastCo Tower, will house a mix of office and retail spaces across 10 storeys, with a three-level carpark and mezzanine working space.
Maben Group is currently undertaking the construction of the main shell & core works of the 10 storey office building and with the addition of the fit out takes the total project value to the largest project Maben has completed so far.
The office building, with interiors designed by peckvonhartel, will offer 2,150sq m floorplates for tenants, with 360 degree views of the Yarra Valley, along with premium end-of-trip facilities.
The anchor tenant is the Victorian Government Department of Transport, which will enjoy workstations for siloed work, digitally integrated collaboration spaces and large-scale training facilities.
The tower will also provide office spaces fit for engineering, executive and operational teams, with retail and customer service space on the ground floor.
The building will be the centre of what Eastland general manager Greg Balmforth says will be “a vibrant mixed-use town centre” for Ringwood.
Tier-2 builder Maben has a wealth of experience in retail, having recently completed aesthetic upgrades to Highpoint Shopping Centre and currently delivering both Woodlea and Merrifield town centres.
Maben has also delivered a number of commercial buildings in recent years for both MAB and Cremorne Properties.
Maben’s continued involvement with QIC across both projects and the notable personnel additions highlight an exciting time of change for the company, repositioning it as a key player in the commercial development sphere.
