Probuild Appointed for Karingal Hub Redevelopment

Probuild has been appointed by ISPT to deliver the $160m redevelopment of Karingal Hub Shopping Centre in Frankston.

The project is anticipated to create approximately 220 construction jobs and be completed in stages over 18 months, allowing retailers to continue to trade. Once completed it will also result in the creation of 300 full-time and part-time retail positions.

Construction will commence in January 2020 and will see the centre expanded and refurbished over the coming eighteen months.

Karingal Hub is now the third project ISPT has partnered with Probuild on, demonstrating Probuild’s leadership in the retail construction sphere.

“Since our first retail project over 30 years ago, we have developed unrivalled capability and experience in retail construction across the country, something ISPT placed great value in” says Sam Delmenico, Probuild’s Managing Director for Victoria.

After several years of considered planning and extensive consultation with retailers and shoppers, the redevelopment is primed to deliver a complete and convenient retail hub for the people of Melbourne’s South-East to enjoy.

The reinvigorated Karingal Hub will feature exciting leisure, entertainment and shopping experiences within an architecturally designed centre including increased free parking and seamless centre connectivity.

Karingal Hub is the latest project in a long line of collaborative efforts from Probuild and ISPT, most namely 271 Spring Street, an Award of Excellence winner for the Best Tall Building under 100m from the Council of Tall Buildings & Urban Habitat, as well as The Urban Developer’s Commercial Development of the Year Award 2019.

With their terrific track record, the two businesses are striving for the same outcomes with this project.

“We are looking to build on our already outstanding relationship with ISPT and deliver another award-winning project through the Karingal Hub redevelopment,” said Delmenico.

The project is slated for completion mid-2021.
